Margaret Peggy Dick, 95, of Salem, Oregon formerly of Nampa, Idaho passed away peacefully at her home on December 20, 2018, with her son, Gordon, at her side.  She passed away from age related issues.  Graveside services will be conducted at Cloverdale Cemetery in Boise, Idaho on January 12, 2019, at 11:00 a.m.  She will be interred next to her husband, Glenn.
Peggy was born November 27, 1923, in Baker, Oregon, to Donald and Margaret McKim Sheppard. She was one of three children. She had an older brother, Don Jr., and younger brother, Rob.
During her early elementary years, she attended Baker City schools.  Then her family moved to Huntington, Oregon, where she later graduated from Huntington High School. After her high school years, she spent time employed at Durkee Cement Plant in the lab and then later at the Huntington Drug Store.
She married Everett Atkinson and from this union her eldest son, Don, was born. She divorced Everett.   She then later married Glenn Nelson Dick, on December 13, 1948. They remained married until Glenn’s death in May 1982.   Peggy and Glenn had three children, Margaret Skene, G. Roger Dick Corleone and Gordon Dick. The family moved to Nampa, Idaho in the 1950’s. Glenn was a Brakeman/Conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad throughout his life. Peggy was a housewife, mother and active seamstress.
During her years in Nampa, she became involved in several activities   –   Girl Scout Leader/Advisor; supervisor of neighborhood polling places for elections; voter registration; Piersol Park Neighborhood President.   She was also an active member in the Nampa Lady Trainmen auxiliary and a Member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
When Peggy was 86, she moved to Salem to be near her son, Gordon.   She moved into a house and lived independently until her death.  Her move to Salem allowed Gordon to assist her in her later years, as she was only ten minutes from his house.  While in Salem, she enjoyed the companionship of her neighbors.   She always enjoyed a good conversation with her neighbors.  She also greatly enjoyed the time everyone spent at her house putting together jigsaw puzzles; there was always a puzzle going on her game table.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Glenn, her brother/sister-in-law Don Jr.
Pauline and brother/sister-in-law Rob Peggy, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her children Don Atkinson Cindy, Margaret Skene, Roger Becky Dick Corleone, Gordon Dick Craig, eight grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Peggy loved her cats.  Her beloved cat, Libby, has been adopted by her son, Gordon.   The family suggests memorials be given to a no-kill cat adoption organization in Salem,
Oregon known as Salem Friends of Felines, 980 Commercial St SE, Salem, OR 97302.
