Ladoris Ann (Morningstar) Ferris

November 1, 1931 - November 28, 2018

Doris was born Nov 1st, 1931 to Archie and Josephine Morningstar in Crow, Oregon. She graduated from Elmira High School. After high school Doris met and married James "Jimmy" Korthof. They had 4 children. After Jimmy's death she married James "Jim" Ferris.
Doris was in management at Valu Mart in Eugene and Fred Meyer in Albany and Salem. She worked at Fairview Training Center in Salem until it's closure. She was a long time member Christian Center of Salem and Keizer Senior Center. She loved to volunteer and help at many organizations. Doris never met someone she did not like, someone she could not help, or a sale she would not stop at.
Doris is survived by her children; Larry Korthof, Ted Korthof, Suzan Mitchell (Doug), Peggy Casto (Scott); 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; her sister Elenor Edwards; sister-in-law Darlene Bowman; and longtime friend Marvin Thompson.
She was predeceased by her sister Maxine Peters; brother Bob Morningstar; husbands James Korthof and Jim Ferris; grandsons Ryan and Sam Casto.
The family would like to thank Kaiser Permanente and Providence Benedictine Nursing Home for the wonderful care. We are rejoicing she is now in the arms of Jesus!
Services will be held Thursday, December 6th, 11 AM Burial at Willamette National Cemetery
