John Karl Shelley

February 2, 1958 - March 16, 2021

John was born and raised in Juneau Alaska. John was a proud member of Alaska's IBEW Local 1547 Union Brotherhood, for more than 40 years. A full-blooded Alaskan outlaw, he made his home in many different places in the Greatland. He found happiness in the cold Ocean Breeze, rain, and the loving eyes of his many dogs. In life we often save the best things for last. John left a lasting impact on many in his lifetime. His closest friends in Oregon, where he spent his last years , described him as patient, compassionate, wise, always willing to teach and always happy to listen. He was at peace and he weathered his storms alone. When it's over some will say it will rain a sunny day I know, shining down like water. Now when we see the rain coming down on a sunny day we will all know why. Survived by Daughter Sarah Rose, granddaughter Aurora Storm, grandson Bruce Lee, and the champion of Champions Lucas.
