Inge Wenner

October 16, 1938 - November 4, 2019

Inge Hitz Wenner

Inge was born in 1938 in Nurnberg, Germany. Due to WW II, this was a very inopportune time and country for beginning life. Inge suffered greatly as a child due to malnutrition and other postwar shortages and misfortunes.
Inge passed on November 4, 2019 at the age of 81. Causes of death were heartbreak, loneliness and depression.
In 1959, Inge met Lambert Bert Wenner in her place of employment in Nurnberg. Bert was an American High School Teacher, teaching the dependents of the American Military stationed in Nurnberg and surrounding area.
Bert and Inge were married on May 20, 1960 at Fuerth, Bavaria, Germany. She returned to the U. S. with Bert and became an American Citizen. Inge thoroughly enjoyed all of the travels and adventures with her husband Bert during their 59 years of marriage.
Inge’s favored pastimes included: Cooking, baking, hiking, traveling, shopping and maintaining an immaculate home although they moved many times for Bert’s career changes.
Inge’s husband Bert passed on September 26, 2019.
Inge was preceded in passing by her parents and one brother.
Inge is survived by 4 brothers-in-law, 4 sisters-in-law and 13 of Bert’s nephews and nieces as well as other family and friends.
We apologize for the lack of family information but Inge was a very private person and did not discuss her childhood or family. I personally met her Mother and Brother in 1960 at Bert and Inge’s wedding but they did not speak English so there was not much discussion of family.
