Margery Coe Lottis

March 11, 1930 - June 10, 2018

Margery Coe Lottis of Salem, Oregon, went home to be with Jesus June 10, 2018.  Margery was born in Medford, Oregon, on March 11, 1930, to Milton and Loda Coe.  The family later moved to Salem, Oregon, where Margery graduated high school in 1948.  In 1950 Margery married the love of her life, Loren Lottis.

Ten years later, Margery, Loren and their three children moved into the house they all helped build on the Willamette River.  She adored the beautiful wooded location, which in later years included a small prayer house to spend time with God and friends.  For 58 years and with much joy, Margery raised her children and made memories with friends and family in her cherished home.

Margery shared a deep passion for her family and Jesus.  She gracefully embraced her calling as a godly wife, mother and grandmother.  The admiration and respect for her beloved Loren was boundless.  Her devotion to pour love and wisdom into her children never ceased, and is a gift that will be passed on to countless generations.

Her passion for Jesus took Margery all over the world to teach, inspire and love others as Jesus does.  With a gift and love of teaching, Margery shared many writings and spoke often about her relationship with Jesus.  Her heart’s desire was to make the person of Jesus real to others, shining from a genuineness of character and purity of soul.  The enormous wealth of her character showed most in her unwavering kindness.  Those who knew her were influenced by her warm heart as she lifted, blessed and encouraged others - even strangers.

Margery is survived by her loving husband Loren; her three children Mark Lottis (Karen), Sharon Roberts (John), and John Lottis (Tina); nine grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

One of Margery’s favorite sayings was “Oh, Joy!” and she now knows the fullness of that exclamation.  A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on June 23, 2018, at Salem Evangelical Church,  455 Locust St. NE. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Keizer Youth Outreach PO Box 1048, Salem, Oregon 97308

Dear Lottis family
I wish to express my sincere sadness at the passing of your beloved wife, mom, and grandma! Although we all know she is with Jesus she was such a wonderful influence to so many and will be deeply missed.  Please know I often speak of her positive influence in my own personal life with great fondness. Unfortunately, because of a family commitment, I will not be able to attend her memorial service.  I pray for Gods peace, comfort, and love during this difficult time.
Fondly,
Mary Edmonds

Great Obituary for a truly great woman!  I am honored to know and love her and you Loren.  God bless you as you regroup and continue your own journey of faith.  Love, Dave
