Joshua "Josh" A. Franchini

July 24, 1986 - April 28, 2018

Joshua Franchini, age 31, passed away on Saturday, April 28th from injuries sustained in an industrial accident.

Joshua was a gentle, loving, and loyal man devoted to his wife, family, and dog, Zoey. He was sarcastic and witty with a sense of humor that kept people smiling and brought joy to many people’s lives. He loved the outdoors, particularly working in his garden, camping, hiking, and fishing. He was a talented auto mechanic eagerly building his own business. He was a quiet individual but enjoyed being in community with his neighbors and hosting a yearly BBQ for family and friends. He will be remembered for his creative nature and attention to detail in his artwork, decorative designs for his home, garden, and wedding planning. He had a deep and admirable faith and was devoted to his work in the church and praying for his family and friends every day. He is dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife and best friend, Katie Beaubien-Franchini, his parents, Joe and Mary Franchini, his siblings, Leia, Sam, and KaLyn Franchini, his niece Lucy Franchini, and his dog, Zoey.

We are so unbelievably sorry about this tragedy.  Josh has been a good friend of Pat's since high school, so we have followed his life.  We were stunned when we heard the news.

I got to know Josh through his attendance at the RCIA program at Queen of Peace Parish.  Josh was an inquirer wanting to know about the practices and beliefs of the Catholic Church so he could better know his fiancé, who later become his wife.
I had Josh in a number of my discussion groups.  While he could be a reserved participant, what I noted is how he would open up much more when he spoke of his fiancé.  Then I particularly noted how Josh “beamed” when he came back to the RCIA class after having married.   Josh loved you Katie.  God loved Josh and now Josh is in the Lord’s presence.   During this difficult time, remember God loves you as He loves Josh.

Rest In Peace Josh

I had the honor of having Josh as a student in my classes at Regis High School.  He was kind, respectful, intelligent, and had a witty sense of humor.  I remember fondly all the fun we had on the retreats and other school activities.  Our family sends our condolences and will pray for Josh and his family.

I remember Josh well from his track and cross country days at Regis.  His work ethic and good humor were much appreciated.  He is missed.
