Erwin J. Cloud

November 17, 1926 - April 6, 2018

Erwin Joseph Cloud passed away on April 6, 2018 surrounded by his wife and family in the kind care of Young at Heart Hospice.

He went to work for the Bank of Idaho and spent his life as a banker in many different banks. Erwin opened the U.S. Bank in Molalla, OR, then later retired from banking and entered real estate business.

He finally retired completely and moved to Salem, OR in 1993. He continued to enjoy fishing and his family. He attended the Salem First Free Methodist Church and was a faithful believer in Jesus Christ.

Erwin is survived by his wife of 70 years, Unalee, his sisters Mary Warren and Velma Fisher, his three children, Steve, Ron and Debra, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

We have many memories of family gatherings with lots of fun and laughter. Since the passing of my father, I especially enjoyed the hugs Erwin gave - it felt like a hug from my dad. Our deepest sympathies.

I have a lot of good memories of Erwin.  As neighbors when I was growing up I was friends with his son Steve.  Erwin taught us how to fish for Steelhead.  He was quick to laugh and slow to anger.  So slow in fact, I don't recall in the 55 years I knew him ever seeing him angry over anything.  A peaceful man who today finds himself enjoying perfect peace and rest from a life well lived.  He will be missed by many.  Heartfelt prayers for Unalee, who was like my second Mom and for the rest of the family.

Thoughts and Prayers for comfort  at this time of loss of  your loved  one  Unalee and  family  So Blessed  to have  met  this  awesome  older brother in the Lord . Erwin you will be  missed .
