Rosalyn F. Hansen

Rosalyn F. Hansen born on December 8, 1919 in Logan, Utah, to Lester and Rosabel Facer, the oldest daughter of 9 children, died at age 97.
Rosalyn grew up in Smithfield, UT and graduated from North Cache High School. She married Karl George Hansen February 2, 1939 in the LDS Logan Temple. They lived in Logan and had a daughter, Jacqueline F. (Bullock) then moved to Salem, Oregon where they had a son, Karl Edmond. Due to the war, they returned to Logan for employment where they had their second son, Jerald Kent. The family returned to settle in Salem in early summer of 1951.
Rosalyn worked in retail at Meier & Frank for 26 years, 12 in management, from the Grand Opening in 1955 until she retired in 1982. Her hobbies included knitting, needlepoint, tatting, gardening, reading, and spending time at the Oregon coast with her husband and kids. She entered her handiwork in the Oregon State Fair, winning first place ribbons and grand prizes every year for over a decade until someone suggested that she step aside a few years and let others have a turn.
She is survived by her son, Kent Hansen; a brother, Wade Facer; her grandchildren, Annette Bullock, Gregory (Ashleigh) Bullock, Dianne (Just) Joplin, Allyson (Kurt) Farry, and KaraLee (Mike) Switzer; 14 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Her parents, husband Karl, daughter Jacquie, son Eddie, 2 sisters and 5 brothers all preceded her in death.  She will be missed by her family and many friends.
A viewing will be held from 10 – 11:30 am, Mon., Aug. 28 at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service, followed by a graveside service at Belcrest Memorial Park at 12:Noon.
