Marcia E Mustard

October 25, 1938 - July 19, 2017

Marcia E Mustard passed away on July 19, 2017, a victim of Alzheimer's.  She was born in Providence, RI on October 25th, 1938 to William and Elizabeth Simmons Smith.  She was married to Archie M Mustard for 57 wonderful years.
Marcia was a dedicated nurse for 40 years.  She completed nurses training at Rhode Island Hospital School of Nursing in 1959, and worked in hospitals in the States of Washington and Oregon, retiring in 2003 after 29 years of service at Salem Hospital where she ended her career as an Assistant Head Nurse, RN CCRN with a Bachelor's Degree from Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon.
Marcia and Archie met while she was a student nurse at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI and he was an Officer Candidate at OCS in Newport, RI. They married in 1960 and began a rewarding and fulfilling life. They enjoyed travelling and did so frequently during their lives together. They traveled to Rhode Island, Virginia, Alaska, and the Southwest after retirement.
Marcia is survived by her husband, Archie of Salem, son David and Daughters Deborah and Dale Marcia, and three grandchildren.  She also leaves behind her sister Lorna (Jan) Knost of Charlestown, RI: brother Quentin (Diane) of Brandon, FL; brother Thomas (Donna) of Ashuelot, NH.  She was predeceased by brothers David and Jonathon and sister Nancy.
A Celebration of Marcia's Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday April 4th at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
