Caprena L. (Newberry) Carbullido

April 27, 1951 - June 26, 2017

Caprena L. (Newberry) Carbullido was a bright warm light in this life.  She came into this world on April 27, 1951 and left on June 26, 2017.  She was born in Tulare, Ca but also lived in Georgia and Florida before settling in Salem, Oregon.  Caprena  passed away from natural causes peacefully at home with her husband by her side.

Caprena excelled in whatever she decided to do… whether being a Pac Bell operator, a school bus driver, or a Sunday school teacher.  Her love for children was evident to them and they were naturally drawn to her.  Caprena loved her family above all else.  Her husband and girls, as well as, the rest of her loved ones were always her first priority.  It didn’t matter if it was her spouse, daughter, sister, parent, or friend.  Her sisters and cousins were her best friends for life.  They were kindred spirits and laughed for hours!  Never was her door closed.  She loved welcoming “you” in and cooking something up while asking about “you”.    Some of her time was spent doing other things she enjoyed; reading, antiquing, traveling, and humming a doo-wop tune or old hymn.   But, all of the time she loved the Lord and it shone through her smile, her heart, and her life.   We will all miss her!

She is survived by her husband, Benjamin Carbullido; daughter,  Amanda Caprice Carbullido and son-in-law,  Jeremy Gerber; daughter,  Ellisa Danielle Carbullido-Field and son-in-law,  Chandler Field; mother,  Geane Newberry; grandson, Kanoa Benjamin Gerber;  sister Volinda Murray and brother-in-law Brian Murray; sister Rhonda Murphy; and many, many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Predeceased by her father Cap Williams Newberry (Nov 2015)
