Elwood (Woody) Leon Fogleman

March 1, 1949 - April 20, 2017

Woody Fogleman died at home at the age of 68.  He leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Loree Fogleman, his children Chris, Sandra, Christie, and son-in-law Ian, his grandchildren Nathan, Kala, Katelyn and step-granddaughter Evelyn; along with his brother Herb of DE, James Jimof Wy, Janet of OK and Lee of TX.  He was pre-deceased by his parents and 6 siblings.

Woody was born in Juniata County, PA and was the 10th of 11 children.  After graduating high school Woody joined the U.S. Army and was sent to serve on the DMZ in Korea during the Vietnam War.  However, Woody spent the majority of his 20 years working as special agent in the Criminal Investigations Division and retired as a CID Warrant Officer 3.  During his time in the military Woody met and married Loree in Indiana on April 20, 1985.

Woody was happiest when he was outdoors hunting or fishing or when he was spending time with his family.  He was a man of few words, but the actions of his big heart spoke volumes to those who knew him.  He would do anything for those he loved and he will be very missed by them.  Though his leaving leaves a hole in their lives they look forward to the day they will see his resurrected body in Heaven!

A memorial service will be 2:00 PM on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Army Emergency Relief: https://www.aerhq.org/Donate
