Ardana "Dana" D. Keyes
October 16, 1927 - January 2, 2017
Ardana “Dana” Deloras Keyes was born October 16, 1927 in Glade, Kansas to parents Truman and Mollie Phelps. After living a short time on a farm in Kansas, they moved to Medford, Oregon and then moved to Salem, Oregon in 1943.
Dana graduated from Salem High School in 1945. Dana worked in secretarial work in Salem and Albany.
Dana married Donald E. Keyes in 1963. She is survived by her son, Michael Keyes in Estacada, brother, Robert “Bob” Phelps, nephew Michael Phelps and nieces Lynda Erickson and Lori Phelps. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald E. Keyes on April 30, 2014.
After her husband Don’s retirement from the Oregon Department of Transportation in 1986, they enjoyed traveling the United States visiting large antique shows. They took 27 cruises seeing the world as well as going to Russia five times. She enjoyed moose hunting in Canada many times with her husband.
Dana volunteered for many years making and decorating the Christmas stocking for new born babies at Salem Hospital. She was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi since 1957, as well as a member of several antique clubs. One of her hobbies was collecting antiques.
