Roberta Ann "Bobby" Pickerell

August 11, 1939 - November 3, 2016

Bobby was born on August 11, 1939 in Oregon City the child of Genevieve and Robert Ross.  Growing up she lived in several cities in the Northwest with her mom and stepfather Mel Witbeck, including Canby, Seattle, North Bend, and Salem where she has resided the past 60 years.  She married Harry "Jim" Pickerell in 1958 and they raised three children, Jamie, Jennifer, and Paul.

Bobby retired from the State of Oregon, Department of Transportation in 2002 after 25 years of service.  She took up the game of golf in 1985 and enjoyed many rounds at the former Battle Creek Golf Course and then Santiam Golf Course building friendships and sharing her passion for golf.  Bobby will always be remembered for her stylish golf attire, her kind heart, and her love of life, family, and friends. Before starting her journey to Heaven, she enjoyed watching the Cubs win the World Series with family at her side. 
Bobby is preceded in death by her parents , daughter Jamie Dave Brown, and brother Russell Witbeck.
Bobby is survived by her husband Jim Pickerell, daughter Jennifer (Mike) Flood, son Paul (Melanie )Pickerell.  Siblings: Sue Joye and Art Witbeck.  Grandchildren: David (Larissa) Brown, Erin (Titus) Reynolds, Michael Flood, Ashlee Pickerell, Kaylee Pickerell, Morganne Calaba, and Sarah Littell.  She is also survived by her Great-Grandchildren: Fiona Reynolds, Bridget Reynolds, and Malcolm Brown, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Bobby’s wishes, no memorial services will be held.  In lieu of flowers please send any donations to the charity of your choice.
