In the late 1970's, she and a longtime friend opened up the "Kiddy Craft Daycare Center" located on Center St. Where she helped shape and influence young lives.

After moving to Sisters, Oregon, she and her husband fulfilled a lifelong dream of owning and operating their own business, "Gift Baskets -n- Things", operating it until their retirement.

Edie married the light and love of her life, Mal Peeler on June 30, 1956. They would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary next month.  Together, they had four children. Dennis Peeler of Center Point, Alabama,  Larry Peeler of Salem, Oregon, Steve Peeler of Prineville, Oregon, and Cindy Taverne of Mountain Home, Idaho.

Edie made every day a special occasion. She touched every life she came into contact with and shared her love of Jesus with all who would listen.
