Kelli Linnea Grimes

October 22, 1973 - February 20, 2016

Kelli Linnae Grimes was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming on October 22, 1973, and died unexpectedly in her home February 20, 2016. She was 42 years old. At the time of her death she had almost 9 years clean and sober. She was also just a few credits shy of earning her degree in Early Childhood Education.

Kelli had a big personality, which was necessary for her to be able to hold her own as the only girl in a family with 3 brothers. She could argue and fight with the best of them. She was a very persuasive person, and the family often found itself doing things that Kelli wanted to do, in the way Kelli wanted. Kelli was an amazingly generous person, and she especially loved doing things for and with her 3 nephews. She loved the natural beauty of Oregon, and enjoyed camping on the Coast and in the McKenzie Pass.

Kelli was preceded in death by her brother, Jesse Grimes, and her Grandparents, Don and Gean Kelley. She is survived by her parents, Kent and Kathi, and her brothers Matthew and his wife Mariah and Aaron, and her beloved nephews Gavin, Aidan, and Jimi, and many Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins.

A Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, March 5 at 10:30 at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
