Allison E. Roberts, passed away January 6th 2016 in Salem Oregon. She was born January 19 1940 in Los Angeles California, the daughter of Jim and Millie Oliver. Allison grew up in Rouge River Oregon, and grew up at the family motel. She attended Rouge Valley elementary and Rouge Valley High. She married Lorane "Curly" Roberts May 6th 1959 in Pasadena California, they meet while she was working at the Twin Lakes Resort, where Curly ran a pack station. They moved moved several times in their early years, they finally landed in Ventura California. Allison was a much loved school aid at Mill School Elementary, she also ran the school library for many years. She worked in the special needs programs and helped out wherever help was a need.
Allison was a charter member of the California Old Time Fiddlers Association, while she didn't play an instrument, she was one its biggest cheerleaders. You could find her in the kitchen helping with potlucks, promoting the fiddlers, and developing the outreach program, fiddling for kids. Allison was a doll maker, amazing homemaker, and beloved wife and mother.
She and "Curly" moved to Oregon in 1986 to retire, first in Eugene, then in Salem to live near family.
Allison is survived by her husband of 55 years; Curly, Son, Edward Ed, she leaves behind her mother Mildred Oliver, sister Florisa Trapp, and brother John Oliver.
