Vera D. Miller

December 11, 1931 - November 24, 2015

Vera Dean Klein was born in Lucas, South Dakota, the daughter of Alfred and Alice Klein, twin sister to   Vern and sister to Jerry, Gilbert, Torval, and Gene Klein. She moved to Salem where she met and married Robert Watson. They were married for 37 years and had 7 children. Later in life she married Virgil Miller and together they shared a love of airstream travel, the outdoors, and delicious food while spending Fall and Winter seasons in Arizona.

She worked throughout her adult life in the healthcare industry, office administration, and as a tax preparer retiring at the age of 65 to become a full time grandparent.

Vera was preceded in death by her son James, her parents, her brothers Vern, Gilbert, and Gene and her husband, Virgil. She is survived by her bothers Torval and Jerry and six of her children, Roberta Ken, Doug Cindy, Mike, Patrick, Sandy, and Lisa Peter, as well as 9 grand children, and 7 great grandchildren.

Vera was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church and Queen of Peace Parrish and a long time member of YLI. She volunteered extensively at churches, schools, and in the community.
Vera will be missed for her welcoming spirit, infectious smile, and love of all living beings. Her faith in God was foremost in her life.
Services will be held Saturday November, 28th at St Joseph Catholic church 721 Chemeketa St NE, Salem, Oregon.  A Recitation of the Rosary will be said at 10:00am with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St Joseph Parish in her honor.
