Francisco Arias Rueda

January 1, 1932 - September 16, 2018

Francisco Arias Rueda, 86, died September 16, 2018 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family at his side in Gervais, Oregon.  Francisco was born in Estanque Nuevo, Nuevo Leon Mexico to Saturnina Ariaz and Alfonso Rueda. In 1956 he married his beloved wife of 62 years, Delia Castillo in the town of  Dr. Arroyo, Mexico N.L. The family migrated to Oregon in 1964. They raised 2 sons and 4 daughters.  Francisco worked in agriculture work picking various fruits and later worked for Pacific Railroad. Francisco enjoyed working in his garden, traveling to Mexico and having backyard barbecues with family and friends.
Francisco will be missed and forever in our hearts. 
Francisco joins his Father, Alfonso Rueda and Mother Saturnia Arias and Son in law Ted Hoagland in heaven. He is survived by his wife, Delia Castillo Rueda, 7 Children (Virginia (Al) Madison, Juan (Cathy) Rueda, Laura Hoagland, Leticia (Robert) Villarreal, Delia (Richard) Wright, Irma (Alex) Manriquez and Francisco (Teresa) Rueda Jr.), 13 Grandchildren and 13 great-grandkids, 4 Step-grandchildren, and 2 Step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation and Services will be held at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service, 605 Commercial St., SE Salem.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 6:30 pm.  Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be from 6:30-7:30 pm on Friday, September 21st.  Funeral Service at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 22nd.  The casket will be open from 9:00 am to 11:00 am before the service.  Interment will follow the funeral at Claggett Cemetery in Keizer.
