Donna L. Pauls was born in McPherson, Kansas on September 27, 1931. She attended school in Inman, Kansas where she met Andrew Willems to whom she was married for 66 years. They lived in Topeka Kansas during their early marriage where their two sons Greg and Ken were born. Donna and Andy moved to Boise, Idaho in 1964 where Donna worked for the Bank of Idaho before moving to Salem, Oregon in 1969. Donna worked for the State of Oregon until her retirement from the Office of Budget and Management in 1989. In retirement she also did volunteer work for the Salem Hospital and Ombudsman office. She enjoyed art and music and sang with several singing groups. She and Andrew loved to square dance and enjoyed progressing through several levels of dance training. In her final years, she enjoyed living at Capitol Manor, actively participating in exercise classes.
Donna leaves behind two sons, Greg and wife Paula of Bainbridge Island, Washington, and Ken of Gates, Oregon; one brother, Loren Pauls of Marshal, Arkansas; sister-in-law Elaine Pauls of Aurora, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew; brother, Les Pauls; parents Curt and Frieda Pauls; and sister, Mary Ann Pauls.
