Delight Koho Carmichael passed away on April 23, 2019 in Salem. She was 93.
She was born on August 13, 1925 to Shirley Ray Harmon, Sr. and Aura Idalee Carpenter in Hildreth, NE. She was a resident of Keizer for nearly 50 years.
She graduated from Tulsa Central High School in Oklahoma.
Delight was employed by Pope Talbot, SAIF and the Oregon Department of Transportation before retiring.
She was married to Don Koho in 1950 and later Don Carmichael in 1980. Both predeceased her.
Keizer/Salem Area Seniors, playing cards, the Portland Trailblazers and the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes were important to her as well as her family.
She is survived by sons Dennis (Lori) Koho of Keizer, and Scott (Linda) Koho of Phoenix, AZ, daughter by choice, Kayrl (Ron) Allen of Keizer, stepchildren Barry (Glenda) Carmichael, Brian Carmichael and Don Carmichael, Jr. (Sondra), all of Keizer. Besides her two husbands, he was preceded in death by son William Koho and stepson David Carmichael.
Services for Delight Koho Carmichael will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, in the upstairs living room at Avamere Court in Keizer and in Bend on June 22, at 9 a.m., at the First Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to Keizer/Salem Area Senior Center in Keizer.
