Clovalea "Lea" Ann Duda
September 26, 1940 - December 1, 2020
Clovalea “Lea” Ann Duda of Salem, Oregon passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at the age of 80.
Lea was born on Sept. 26, 1940 to Ben and Irene Rohr in Salem, Oregon. She was the oldest of six children.
After graduating from Sacred Heart Academy in 1958, Lea attended the University of Oregon. She studied nursing which was the beginning of her medical career. Lea spent the next forty years working in a variety of medical settings. She retired from the State of Oregon after working as a respiratory therapist.
At a friend’s wedding she met her future husband, Robert Duda. They were married on Feb. 24, 1962 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Salem. They lived on the family farm outside of Mt. Angel for the next thirty-three years, where they raised five children.
Before entering Molalla Manor, Lea lived at Hidden Lakes retirement community, where she was an active member of the community. She made many new friends there and especially enjoyed the pinochle group.
Lea was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents and her brother Robert. She is survived by her sons Steve (Carol), Ambrose (Lily), Ron (Cori), Andy and her daughter Roberta (Kevin); nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family would like to thank Molalla Manor for the care of Lea during her last months. With their help, she gracefully passed away in peace. She will be missed by her friends and family but never forgotten.
Services are on Friday, December 11 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mt. Angel. The rosary will be said at 1:30pm with a funeral mass following at 2:00pm.
