Clinton J. Cloyd

April 19, 1952 - September 18, 2021

Clinton J. CloydClint passed away in the early morning of September 18th after several health complications. Clint was able to go peacefully with his family by his side. A native Oregonian, Clint was born to Betty Moore and Donald G. Cloyd, and was the middle child of the five Cloyd children. Clint joined the Marine Corps right out of high school, where he was a Bulk Fuel Man and received a National Defense Service Medal for rifle marksmanship. Clint was honorably discharged and was hired on with the state of Oregon following his service. Clint remained with the Oregon Department of Transportation until his retirement in 2003.

Clint is survived by his wife Tammy Cloyd, his sons Scott and Michael Cloyd, stepdaughter Natalie Salinas, his brother Mike Cloyd, and sister Pam Fretwell. Clint was also survived by his five treasured grandchildren: Taylor, Madison, Lucas, Chase, and Kade.

Clint will be remembered for his exceptional, often crass sense of humor, his generosity, and his no-nonsense personality. Clint loved hunting, wood carving, football (Go Packers!), and spending time tending to his immaculate lawn.

Clint will be laid to rest at the Willamette National Cemetery with military honors.
A celebration of life will be held at the Elks Lodge #2472 at 4250 Cherry Ave, NE Keizer, OR on Friday, October 1st from 3:00PM to 6:00PM.
