August 24, 1948 - November 6, 2021

Carla Rae SelfCarla Rae SelfCarla Rae Self August 24, 1948 November 6, 2021 It is with great sadness that the Self family announces the passing of Carla Self on November 6th, after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Self, parents Duane Bob and Evelyn Morris, Her brothers Jim and Terry Morris. She is survived by her sister, Karen Morris, her boys, Rodney, Shane Alicia, Shawn Tracii, George Angela, Grandchildren; Geoffery Stephanie, Chanel, Kaitlin, Tyler, BreAnn, Cody, Kelci Justin, Austin, Araya, Ashlynn, Shane, Maylee and Shyla, Great grandkids; Anthony, Lliam, Elliot, Harper, LoreLai, Raena, Olivia, Aiden, Bently and Ryder. She was everyones go to Avon rep for over 50 years. She was an avid bowler and went to Reno and Las Vegas numerous times for bowling tournaments. She loved spending her time with friends and family playing bunko, Yahtzee, or any card game. She could always be found playing poker with the boys at family gathering and had been known in the family as a Card Shark. She started playing pool after George passed away and went to Vegas back-to-back to play in Nationals. She recently started coloring and had sold many of her colored pictures. The saying to know her was to love her is an absolute understatement. She was loved by all those that met her because she truly loved everyone. She would greet everyone with the best bear hugs, and you could never leave without getting a good bye hug from her. Her boys would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers at this challenging time. The outpouring of love has been overwhelming. We take comfort in knowing that George was there waiting for her, and they could celebrate their 51st wedding anniversary together. Services will be held at Virgil T. Golden on Friday, November 19th at 3pm. She will be laid to rest with George at Willamette National Cemetery in a private service.
