November 13, 1920 - February 6, 2019

Ann Roloff was born in Ellendale, North Dakota on November 13, 1920 and passed away February 6, 2019 in Salem, Oregon.
She married Arthur D. Roloff in 1943 and they moved to Salem in 1947. He passed away in 1994. Ann worked for many years at Willamette Un. College Library and Salem Public Library where she retired in 1983. She was an active member in the First Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon, member of Macleay Grange, Women’s Scottish Rite Aux and Order of Eastern Star. Ann was also an organist for many years.
Ann and Art had many shared interests. They enjoyed growing roses and competing in annual competitions where they were recognized for outstanding rose growers. They were accomplished musicians. Ann was a pianist and organ player. Arthur played an acoustical guitar. They played for a variety of functions but enjoyed being part of a combo called “Three Plus One”. Ann was the plus one. The combo played for many functions including church events, community functions and fraternal organizations. They enjoyed being part of “Gutheries” near Dallas. On Ann’s 95th birthday, a surprise birthday party was held. She was asked to play with the group and she selected a march entitled “Under the Double Eagle”.     She lit up the ivories and the musicians accompanied her with smiles.
Ann also enjoyed crafts such as deco paging books, silk flower arrangements, sewing, and needlepoint.  She enjoyed discussing politics and sports.
