Ann O. Denny

Ann O. Denny passed away peacefully on February 24, 2021 in Salem, Oregon at the age of 97. She was born in Los Angeles, California on September 21, 1923 to parents Jiuseppe Lencione and Maria Luisa Yabanez. Ann attended schools in Los Angeles and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1941. She worked as a switchboard operator in the Los Angeles area for many years before moving to Salem, Oregon in the 1980s to be with her son, Richard Hallen, after her husband passed away. She worked for II Morrow (UPS) in Salem for several years before retiring.
Ann loved antiques and vintage dolls, often purchasing broken dolls then repairing them. She also loved making doll clothes. After retiring, Ann loved to travel and visit family and friends, as well as attend antique shows and estate sales with her son. Ann was a kind and gentle person her entire life, and she will be greatly missed.
Ann is survived by sisters Carol Clifford of New Hampshire and Gloria Meade of California; brother George Stanley of Arizona; and sister in law Sammi-Jo Dunphy of California. Ann was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Denny, her brother Oscar Dunphy, and her son Richard Hallen. Per her request, there will be no services.
